Plenary Talks Headed by the Presidents of Poland and the United States

On February 9, 2006, the White House was the venue of the plenary talks headed by the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczyński, and the President of the Unites States of America, George W. Bush.

The talks were also attended by the ministers of the President’s Chancellery, Robert Draba, Lena Dąbkowska-Cichocka and Andrzej Krawczyk.
The US President congratulated Lech Kaczyński on his victory in the presidential election. He also thanked the President of the Republic of Poland for Poland’s involvement in the stabilization mission in Iraq.

After the talks, the President of the Republic of Poland told journalists that the US support for the democratic change in Ukraine and Belarus was important. President Lech Kaczyński also said that there were prospects for improved relations between Poland and the Russian Federation owing to the support offered by the United States.
