State visit of the President of the Republic of Poland in Kazakhstan

On 28th March 2007 in the evening President Lech Kaczyński arrived with a state visit in Kazakhstan. The President is accompanied by his wife Maria Kaczyńska and Ministers in the Chancellery of the President – Maciej Łopiński and Małgorzata Bochenek.

On 29th March in the morning in the Presidential Palace in Astan President Kaczyński was officially welcomed by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Next, the two Presidents spoke privately and then chaired plenary talks of the Polish and Kazakh delegations. The talks were followed by a press conference of the Presidents.

In the afternoon President Lech Kaczyński met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Masimov and the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament K. Tokayev. The Polish President also laid flowers at the Monument of Homeland Defenders and planted a tree in the Alley of Heads of State. In the Palace of Peace and Agreement the President of Poland and Mrs Kaczyńska met with representatives of the Polish community in Kazakhstan. Then the Presidential Couple visited an exhibition devoted to the general development plan of the capital city of Kazakhstan.
In the evening the President of Poland and Mrs Kaczyńska attended dinner offered by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
