Jacek Sasin - Secretary of State

Jacek Sasin - Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of Poland

Born on 6 November 1969 in Warsaw; graduate of the History Department at the Warsaw University and of postgraduate studies in public administration management at the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in Warsaw.

 

From 1995 to 1998 employed at the Polish – German Reconciliation Foundation and from 1998 to 2004 at the Office of Veterans and Oppressed Persons in the capacity of Judicature Department Director. Jacek Sasin is an honorary member of many veterans’ associations and organizations. He actively participated in works on amending the Act on Veterans and Oppressed Persons.

 

From 2004 to 2006 Jacek Sasin was an employee at the Office for the Capital City of Warsaw where he initially performed the function of the Head of Registry and subsequently that of Deputy Mayor of Śródmieście District. From 2006 to 2007 Jacek Sasin acted as the First Deputy Voivode of Mazovia and then as the Mazovian Voivode. He also held the office of Deputy Head of the Regional Steering Committee responsible for implementation of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme in the Mazovia Region and performed the function of Head of Permanent Conference on Co-operation which monitored implementation of the Regional Operational Programme for Mazovia. Member of the National and Chairman of the Mazovian Organization Committee responsible for European Football Championships EURO 2012. Jacek Sasin is a member of the Polish Olympic Committee.

 

On 12 December 2007, he was nominated advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland. He dealt with culture and national heritage issues and public administration. On 26th November 2009 he was appointed Secretary of State and Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of Poland.
