President Duda writes congratulatory letter to Pope Francis

In a letter marking Pope Francis' fifth election anniversary, Polish President Andrzej Duda termed the pontiff an example of humbleness, benevolence and modesty for the whole world, but also of determination in his solidarity with those in most need.

 

President Duda offered Pope Francis his best wishes.

 

The Polish President underscored the pope's efforts in travelling to countries stricken by poverty and struggling with other dramatic problems. President Duda acknowledged Pope Francis' "courageous reiteration of the fact that dialogue and respect for the dignity and rights of every human being must be the foundation for building a just international order."

 

The President  of the Republic of Poland expressed satisfaction that Pope Francis had also found time to visit Poland during his five years as the pontiff. (PAP)
