Poland needs comprehensive strategy towards China
Poland needs to build a comprehensive strategy towards China to think about drawing benefits from Chinese development, President Bronislaw Komorowski said on Monday.
The president was addressing a group of entrepreneurs who accompanied Komorowski during his December official visit to China.
President Komorowski said that building a strategy in the political, economic, cultural and scientific dimension is absolutely necessary. Lack of such coherent strategy means serious weakening of Poland's chances to draw benefits offered by the developing Chinese economy.

The president added that he treated the Monday meeting as an introduction to steps aimed at building such strategy.
Bronisław Komorowski speaking on the Chinese visit stressed that important are not only Chinese declarations on readiness to increase imports from Poland but also concrete entries in documents speaking on the need for Chinese investments in Poland. "There are decisions to open a Chinese bank in Poland. This is usually followed not by declarations but by economic decisions on which we so much count on," said the president.
President Komorowski announced that his chancellery will organise, on regular bases, meetings with Polish entrepreneurs doing business in China to evaluate what has been done and what remains to be done. (PAP)
