Aleksander Sosna (recalled on June 27, 2014 due to becoming a Member of Parliament)

 Aleksander Sosna was born in 1963 in Orla in the Podlasie region. After completing the KEN High School in Siemiatycze, he studied at the Law Faculty at the Białystok Branch of the University of Warsaw, where he graduated in 1987. In the same year, Piróg started work as a control inspector in the Social Insurance Institution, ZUS. Since 1991 he has worked for the National Labour Inspectorate - District Labour Inspectorate in Białystok as a labour inspector. Since December 2006 Aleksander Sosna has served as the Deputy Mayor of Białystok.

He is the secretary of the Orthodox Fellowship of SS. Cyril and Methodius Association (Public Benefit Organisation), which runs a private primary school in Białystok and a private kindergarten in Bielsk Podlaski. The organization is also involved in charity, community services, and the cultivation of religious identity among the Orthodox Church members and national minorities.

Aleksander Sosna is married, and has one daughter and a grandson. His hobbies include collecting old postcards depicting Orthodox churches.

On 13 December 2010, by the decision of the Polish President, Aleksander Sosna was appointed a social adviser to the President on the Orthodox community and the Belarusian minority in Poland.
