Jarosław Neneman (recalled on November 19, 2014 due to taking a position at the Ministry of Finance)

Born in 1963 in Łódź, he studied at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Łódź (1982–1989), obtaining a marketing specialization (1987) and foreign trade specialization. Between 1991 and 1992, during his economic post-graduate studies at the Central European University in Prague, he obtained an M.A. degree in Economics at the New York University. In 1997, he became doctor of economic sciences at the University of Łódź for a dissertation concerning redistribution results of the introduction of the VAT in Poland. He worked at the University of Łódź as an assistant lecturer and later as an assistant professor at the Economic Institute of the University of Łódź.

 

Currently he is an assistant professor and a director of the Sub-Faculty of Finance and Banking at the Lazarski University in Warsaw as well as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Łódź and a deputy director of the Centre of Documentation and Tax Studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź. He is also an expert of the CASE Scientific Foundation and the Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship.

 

Between 2004 and 2005 and in 2006 he was undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Finance, responsible for tax policy and legislation. He is an author of numerous publications, mainly for the Foundation for Youth Entrepreneurship.

 

On 7th October 2010, he was nominated the social advisor of the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, for local self-government matters.
