On Friday afternoon the Norwegian royal couple, in the company of the Polish presidential couple Anna and Bronisław Komorowski, visited Krakow’s institutions which received subsidies from Norwegian grants.

One of them was the International Culture Centre, one of the biggest exhibition spaces in Krakow that had been modernised thanks to Norwegian funds.

The royal couple also visited the Polish 19th century Art Gallery in Krakow’s Market Square, opened after a major renovation in 2010, with 195 painting and 19 sculptures on display.

The Norwegian royal couple toured St Mary Basilica at the end of their Polish visit.

"A three-day visit to Poland is nearing an end, the visit confirmed very good relations with Poles. I hope it will bear fruit in the future," the King of Norway said. (PAP)
