President of Poland had a telephone conversation with the president of the USA

On 6th January 2004 President of the Republic of Poland had a telephone conversation with the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush. Both presidents discussed the issues concerning the situation in Iraq, the stability mission in 2004 and the most important aspects of bilateral relations. Polish president expressed his satisfaction from the oncoming working visit to the United States planned for the end of January. He stressed great interest of Polish enterprises, including military industry, in the participation in the process of reconstruction of Iraq and the Iraqi institutions. President A. Kwaśniewski expressed his expectation that the visa regime concerning Polish citizens would be moderated. It was decided that the Head of National Security Bureau, Marek Siwiec would go to Washington to prepare the visit of Polish president. Presidents Kwaśniewski and Bush wished each other the best New Year’s wishes.
