Fruitful cooperation

On 12 October 2006, Under Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Krawczyk, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Poland, Aleksey Volkov.

The partners emphasized the weight and significance of Polish-Kazakh relations, expressing hopes for their further intensification. The importance of economic and cultural cooperation was also pointed out.
Energy security issues and the situation of Kazakhstan’s Polish community were discussed at some length.

Ambassador Volkov asked the Minister to convey his thanks to the First Lady, Maria Kaczyńska, for her contribution to the promotion of Kazakh culture in Poland, and in particular for the dedication she had written for the first Polish edition of a collection of Kazakh folk tales. The Kazakh Ambassador also expressed his gratitude to the International Relations Office at the Presidential Chancellery for fruitful cooperation and for its contribution to fostering Polish-Kazakh relations.
