Good Polish-Israeli relations considered a priority

On 21 June 2006, Under-Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Krawczyk, met with a delegation of the State of Israel, headed by Deputy Director-General for Strategic Affairs at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Miriam Ziv.

In the course of the meeting, bilateral relations were reviewed, with emphasis on their very positive evaluation by both parties. It was pointed out that relations with Israel were among Poland’s foreign policy priorities. Both parties declared their resolve to maintain very intensive political and military relations. The good prospects for co-operation in the US-Israel-Poland strategic triangle were emphasized. Also, the forthcoming Cracow Initiative conference was discussed. The Israeli Ambassador to Poland, David Peleg, who was also present at the meeting, expressed his thanks for the declaration of support for Israel made by the President of the Republic of Poland. It is the Ambassador’s opinion that this declaration confirms that there is no place for anti-Semitism in Poland.
