There is no justification for terrorism

On July 12, 2006 the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczyński sent a wire of condolences to the President of the Republic of India on the terrorist attacks in Mumbaj.

In the text of the wire we read:

“Deeply moved by the news of terrorist attacks which took place on 11 July this year at the railway stations in Mumbaj, on behalf of the Polish People I would like to extend my sincere condolences to you and the families of the victims of this tragedy.

We have often said at the international forum that there is no justification for terrorism. The Republic of Poland condemns terrorist attacks regardless of any aims and objectives that stand behind them or ideologies expressed by the groups applying the methods of terror and violence. That is why Poland believes that only by acting jointly and unanimously with other countries we can stop and prevent this phenomenon.

Mr President, please accept my sincere condolences and respect”
