Tradition of common values

On the occasion of the National Holiday of France celebrated on July 14, the President of the Republic of Poland, Lech Kaczyński sent a telegram of congratulations to the President of the Republic of France, Jacques Chirac.

In the text of the telegram we read:

“On the occasion of the National Holiday of the Republic of France let me extend on behalf of the Polish People congratulations and best wishes.

Poland and France have a long tradition of good relations shaped by common European heritage and values which today are enriched by our care for the future of the European continent and peace in the world.

I recall with pleasure our last meeting in Paris and I sincerely hope that the relations between our countries will continue to grow and strengthen. On this day of National Holiday I would like to wish personal success to the French People and prosperity and further development to France.

I wish Mr. President successes in his work for the Republic of France and fulfillment in his responsible mission for the whole international community.”
