Condolences from the President of the Republic of Poland to the President of the Russian Federation

On 23rd April 2007 President Kaczyński sent a message of condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the death of former President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin.

Below is the text of the message:

”Poles were sorry to learn of the death of Boris Yeltsin. In our country vivid is the memory of his contribution to the building of a new Russia and her role in Europe and in the world as well as his role in building new standards of Polish-Russian bilateral relations. Russia, Europe and the world have lost an eminent politician, however he now becomes a part of history. Please accept Mr President the expressions of profound compassion conveyed on behalf of the Polish Nation and the assurance that Poland wished to pay respect to the memory of President Boris Yeltsin by developing friendly, good-neighbourly relations with Russia”.
