Polish-French relations are in very good shape

On 17 April 2008, President of the Republic of Poland Mr Lech Kaczyński received in the Presidential Palace President of the National Assembly of the French Republic Mr Bernard Accoyer and accompanying delegation who came on a visit to Poland.

In the course of the talks, very good shape of Polish-French relations was highlighted, as illustrated by the intense agenda of bilateral meetings and by the Second Polish-French Summit chaired by the President of Poland and the President of France, scheduled for 23 April 2008 in Warsaw.

Moreover, most important items of the European Union agenda were under discussion, including the process of Lisbon Treaty ratification and the future of European Neighbourhood Policy. The French side presented priorities of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of this year. Referring to the NATO Summit on 2-4 April this year in Bucharest, the interlocutors also discussed cooperation within the Alliance.
