President Duda to visit UN headquarters

Polish President Andrzej Duda will visit the United Nations headquarters in Geneva on Monday. The main topics for discussion are among others Poland's priorities within the scope of the UN Security Council.

The Presidential Couple plans to attend the Polish ceremonial music concert for diplomats related to the UN.

The President's top aide, Krzysztof Szczerski told that the concert will be held in the Palace of Nations in Geneva. The repertoire includes compositions by Polish composers such as Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Fryderyk Chopin and Stanisław Moniuszko.

The Geneva concert is part of a cycle of artistic events, organised throughout the whole jubilee year, with the participation of the president and top officials from other states and international organisations.

Towards the end of October, the Polish embassy in Berlin will organise a jubilee concert, which is to be hosted by president Duda as well as German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The President's visit to the UN headquarters in Geneva will be the first point of the two-day visit to Switzerland. During the stay, the President will also visit the University of Zurich, where on Tuesday he is to give a lecture entitled "The Future of Europe - Foundations of the States of Europe." The speech will concern his view on the future of European integration. See also: President for closer cooperation of Polish and Swiss central banks
