President congratulates Ukraine on its Independence Day
President Bronislaw Komorowski on Saturday in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian state head Viktor Yanukovych congratulated the Ukrainian people on the country's Independence Day.
Both presidents also discussed Ukraine's relations with Russia.
B. Komorowski assured V.Yanukovych that Poland will continue its support for Ukraine's ambitions to seal an association agreement with the EU. In this context Yanukovych reported that Ukraine was working on the fulfillment of conditions set by the EU for the document's signature.
Presidents also discussed Ukrainian-Russian relations in the context of problems recently suffered by Ukrainian exporters. Last week Russian customs authorities placed all Ukrainian exporters on a high-risk list, which resulted in the meticulous control of all Ukrainian goods entering Russia. (PAP)
