President Bronisław Komorowski

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski sent condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in connection with two explosions that killed over 30 people in Volgograd on Sunday and Monday.

"I am deeply saddened by the two terrorist attacks carried out in Volgograd," the Polish president wrote.
"On behalf of the Polish people and on my own behalf, I want to express words of solidarity and my sincere condolences to the families of the victims of these terrible tragedies," President Komorowski wrote.

Head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) Stanislaw Koziej sent condolences to Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev.

More than 30 people were killed in the two explosions in the southern Russian city of Volgograd in two days. On Monday at least 15 people were killed and 23 injured in the blast that tore through a trolleybus. On Sunday a suicide attacker set off a bomb in the entrance hall of a local train station, killing at least 17 people. (PAP)
