President meets French and Ukrainian heads of state

President Bronislaw Komorowski met in Krakow on Tuesday evening with French President Francois Hollande. Later the Polish head of state met with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko.
The French and Ukrainian presidents came to Poland to attend the observances of the 70th anniversary of the Auschwitz Nazi German death camp's liberation.
According to presidential minister Jaromir Sokolowski, the conversation held by Presidents Komorowski and Hollande focused on bilateral relations as well as cooperation in the EU and the Weimar Triangle.
The two presidents spoke also about the situation in Ukraine and the necessity for the EU to find a proper answer to the escalation of tension in Ukraine-Russia relations after the separatist attack on Mariupol, Sokolowski said.
After the Auschwitz observances the Ukrainian president said that "70 years after the camp liberation Europe was again facing a threat of war" and stressed that the aggressor's appetite was not limited only to Ukraine.
President Poroshenko appealed to the international community for solidarity in actions for peace.
On Monday evening the Polish president in a phone conversation with Petro Poroshenko condemned the recent separatist attack on Mariupol that killed at least 30 civilians and injured nearly 100. (PAP)
