President Bronislaw Komorowski on Tuesday officially appointed three new ministers: Marian Zembala (health), Adam Korol (sport and tourism) and Andrzej Czerwinski (treasury).
"Changes in various posts are an element of normalcy, though every change can be better or worse, made in easier or tougher situations", President Komorowski remarked during the ceremony at the Presidential Palace.
He offered thanks for "a change made in such a way that we can see that politics is not just easy promises, glamour, honours, not just careers, but that it is a service (performed) in not always easy and favourable circumstances".
"Thank you for being prepared to serve Poland at a singular moment, when we have just a few months to the (parliamentary) elections", the president continued.
He congratulated the newly appointed ministers on their willingness to put their experience and achievements in various important areas at the disposal of the prime minister and the whole country. "There are many issues to resolve", Bronislaw Komorowski pointed out.
The president wished the new ministers "courage, the will to complete this big job and faith that we are doing it all in the name of serving Poland".
New Health Minister Marian Zembala is a heart and transplant surgeon. New Treasury Minister Andrzej Czerwinski is a Civic Platform (PO) MP. New Sport and Tourism Minister Adam Korol is a former rowing world and Olympic champion. (PAP)
