President decorates artists, patrons of culture

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski decorated with state distinction a group of over twenty artists and patrons of culture during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday.
Among the distinguished were film director Pawel Pawlikowski, 2015 Oscar winner for best foreign language film Ida, film director Malgorzata Szumowska awarded a Silver Bear for Best Director at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival and composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, Academy Award winner for Best Original Score for Finding Neverland.
Among the decorated was art collector and patron of culture Grazyna Kulczyk.
"I would like to thank you for the many achievements written in your CVs, which include artistic output, own talent and creativity as well as artistic achievements," said the president.
Bronislaw Komorowski thanked all the honoured for "all their achievements"
which contributed to the fact that "these past several years were really good years in terms of Poland's (international) image, disseminating knowledge about Poland, about Polish culture." (PAP)
